PLANET FINANCE, a leading international microfinance organization, based in Paris (France) has granted an encouragement and support loan to AFRIQUE EMERGENCE & INVESTISSEMENTS (AE&I). (Visit www.planetfinance.org)
Despite the social and political crisis in Côte d’Ivoire the last 4 years, PLANET FINANCE, based on the good performance achieved by AE&I since his creation in Abidjan on October 2003, has decided to grant a 15,000 euros (10,000 000 FCFA) loan to this dynamic Microfinance Institution, which has successfully implemented various microcredit programs in Côte d’Ivoire during the past 3 years in spite of it modest resources.
The loan agreement was signed on October 25, 2006 by both Mr Sébastien DUQUET (Managing Director of PLANET FINANCE) and Mr Fahan BAMBA (Managing Director of AFRIQUE EMERGENCE & INVESTISSEMENTS.
Funds were posted to AE&I account on December 1st, 2006.
PLANET FINANCE board of Director is chaired by Mr. Jacques ATTALI, founder of this institution on October 1988 in France. Mr ATTALI is known as a brilliant Advisor of French President François Mitterrand for years.
Mr Arnaud Ventura, PLANET FINANCE Executive Vice-President, met Mr Fahan BAMBA in February 2006 in Abidjan. He appreciated the innovation spirit and the professionalism of AE&I.

This loan was fully allocated by AE&I to microcredit distribution to micro businesswomen in the course of December 2006 in Côte d’Ivoire.
The micro businesswomen who benefit from this loan were very happy as December was the most interesting period of doing good business. In fact, the year-end season 2006 includes Christian, Muslim and civil holidays (Christmas 2006, Aid El Kebir-Tabaski 2006, and 1st January 2007). This period provides business opportunities micro businesses. The micro businesswomen have got the chance to get profit from the 2006 year-end business opportunities.
